Award Verification
The Academic Registry is responsible for the verification of awards. Verification requests are often received from potential employers or government organisations in the form of a reference request, and are handled promptly and confidentially.
Reference requests from employers and organisations
Award verification is most often requested by potential employers, recruitment agencies, or government organisations who need to confirm that a former student holds a genuine qualification from Rhodes Institute of Professional Studies.
Requests are submitted as a reference request to the Academic Registry, which manages verification on behalf of the Institute.
What we need to process your request
To have a former student’s qualification verified, you’ll need to provide certain information so that the request can be dealt with as promptly as possible. This can be done in one of two ways, shown below.
- Requests are reviewed and confirmed by the Academic Registry
- Providing complete information helps avoid delays in processing

Send your verification request, along with either the scan copies or the full graduate details listed above, to the Academic Registry. Requests are dealt with as promptly as possible once the required information has been received.

Providing either the scan copy of the award and transcript, or the full set of graduate details listed above, allows the Academic Registry to process your request as promptly as possible. Incomplete requests may take longer to verify.
